So, given that anything off the shoulder are all the rage at the moment, I wanted to give it a try as well. But instead of going all out and investing on this trend (which, perhaps I might wear just once or twice) I thought of making one myself, with hubby’s spare shirt of course! All I did was cut the neck off till just above the arm holes and got an elastic band stitched just along the periphery of the new neckline from my local tailor. And Voila! I had a brand new off-shoulder top to myself 🙂
And to be very honest, I kind of have a mixed feeling for this trend. On one hand I really loved how the off shoulder top/dress makes you look but at the same time I quite didn’t like the fact that while you’re wearing one, you’re not very comfortable with your hands as lifting my hands every time, had me adjusting the neckline strap again and again, which is a little disturbing!
But anyways, apart from this discomfort, I think it’s really trendy piece and it doesn’t take much to style it either. Ans this is how I styked mine – Just threw on a pair of knee-ripped denim and a full hat to go with it. Some red accessories is all I used to complete the look!
Hope you guys liked this simple DIY and the look as well!
Until the next time, Loads of Love,
