The Art

Well, this was completely an impromptu shoot. And the fact that we (Me & Siddhi) were completely color coordinated without having to pre-decide on the same, called for the shoot all the more. Zillion thanks to hubby bear who’s always ever ready to capture my treasured moments.. 🙂 🙂

So, like I mentioned,  I happened to meet one of my girlfriends after a really long time and the excitement was beyond words. It’s not like we speak on the daily or even chat but what’s amazing is how we pick up from where we last left and the lull period in between doesn’t really affect our bond either. And that perhaps is something I respect the most in our friendship – The maturity, the respect for each other’s space and likes that it holds. Space in friendship you ask? I say, why not! I mean, forget friendship, in fact any relation that you may be in – be the one with your parents or the one with your hubby or even with your kids, too much of involvement and intrusiveness spoils any good bank that you may have. There may be times when you would want to do things on your own, not necessarily with your friends or family but the beauty of your relationship is when one respects the same and that, by the way, also shows how mature one is as a person. And like they say, Relationships – of all kinds – are like sand held in your hand. Held loosely, with respect and freedom for the other person, it is likely to remain intact. But hold too tightly, too possessively, and the relationship slips away and is lost. Not that I am some Relationship speaker or so but I myself had my own share of learning’s when it comes to relationships and thanks to Krishi that I’m now learning the art of it – Live & Let People you Love Live – Be the Strongest Support you can be in times of need – Be Happy in their Happiness But Never force your relationship on anyone and the bond shall only grow fonder!

What She Wore :: White Denim, #jealous21 | Top, #thrifted (Bandra) | White Loafers, #addons | Glares, #thrifted (Colaba Causeway)   ||   What I Wore :: White Checked Kimono, #myntra | Ripped Denims, #only | Black Tank & Heels, #forever21 | Sling Bag, #shoppersstop | Glares, #thrifted (Colaba Causeway)

But anyways, having given my two cent on relationships and how I like to handle it, let us now jump to the main point which is the outfit. So, given that I was meeting up for a causal brunch on a sunny Sunday morning followed by some street shopping on Colaba Causeway, I wanted to keep the look comfortable and yet chic. And nothing beats the comfort of denim paired with a basic tank top. What, however, took this look to the next level was this extremely comfortable cotton kimono style jacket I recently got my hands on to. Just a pair of shades and some basic heels to complete the look. And just in case if you’re wondering how I managed to do street shopping in those heels, then let me clarify that I did have a pair of kolhapuri chappals for running errands.. 🙂 😛 Loving to be Stylish doesn’t make you any stupid, does it? HaHa 😛
