So, yes, agreed that February is the month of Love, given that it’s the Valentine’s month. But if you’re married to the right person, life pretty much can be a big pool of party infused with big love bubbles and tiny bubbles of stupid silly fights as well! Not that I am exaggerating but I am sure that every happily married couple will second my thought. It’s not that the journey is smooth sailing either, but the fact that you walk hand in hand with the love of your life in the journey of creating your own dream world makes even the hurdles all worth it! It’s like being LOVE STRUCK for a lifetime! Marriage, I would say, certainly has made me a better person and it’s a constant learning process that I have imbibed in my day to day life.
Not very often that I talk about my hubby bear but now that I am as it is talking about marriage and love, I might as well give you my two cents on this topic too! I didn’t fall in love with Krishi but in fact, walked into love with him, with my eyes wide open, choosing to take every step along the way. And just when I’d given up on love (given that I had my own share of heart break and betrayals), I found Krishi. Where do you ask? Well, my dad was hell bound towards finding a perfect match for me by all means and just three months into his search; he told me about this guy who was based out of Brussels. I never intended to shift out of India, but something about his innocent smile kind of compelled me to speak to him at least once and just one evening of “skype”ing with him and we instantly clicked. I guess, we were just destined to be together! Otherwise, in today’s times of quick makes and breaks, falling in love with someone you haven’t even met in person and being able to still be together when you’re across seven oceans for more than 3 years is a little hard to imagine, right? And mind you the saga to finally get married was a different ball game all together (Though ours was officially an arranged marriage, the twist and turns it brought with it is unique in itself and I shall tell you about it some other time).. 🙂 🙂
So, long story short – I do believe in fate and destiny, but I also believe that we are only destined to do things that we’d choose anyway. And that I’d choose him; in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, I’d find him and I’d choose him!
And when you’re staying with your lover, it’s practically a date night almost every other Friday. And trust me when I say that, even after three years of being married, I still go through the anxiety (like the ones when you’re just at the initial period of dating trying to woo each other) trying to look my best on those dinner dates and maybe that’s what Love does to you (wink wink). And I must confess that it’s a lot of hard work. So, I thought why not share a series of date night looks and here’s to the first one! Perhaps the easiest of any recent looks that I have styled. Just paired this gorgeous full skirt with a knit mustard top and I was ready in like 5 minutes. A pair of statement gold and black earrings only added the dreamy affair. A fancy sling bag and nude heels to complete the look.
Hope you guys liked this post and here’s wishing you all a very happy life with your loved ones.
Until the next time, Loads of Love,
