Being the Corporate Girl, I am not much of an Indian wear fan, unless there’s some special occasion around and I want to get all dolled up. However, I like to invest in Key Indian wear pieces which are more utilitarian in nature and can be dressed up or down depending upon the occasion. I totally believe in remixing my closet and having key pieces in my wardrobe helps me attend the same. Having said that, I recently picked up this beautiful yellow “Iktara” Kurta from HyperCity and something that really caught my fascination is the gorgeous intricate detailing it has round its neckline. Gorgeous and Classy at the same time, this piece was sure to make a special place in my heart. And in my quest, here’s how I’ve styled this piece – some conventional and some not-so-conventional ones… 🙂 So read it on…
- The Modish – This look is perfect amalgamation of our ethnic roots with a modern twist. Give your traditional ways a break and instead opt to pair your kurta with a pair of cigarette pants and a matched blazer and you’ll be impressed with the results.
2. The easiest way to style the kurta was to simply pair it up with a solid toned Patiala, giving it a very comfort and fun feel to it. Just added a pair of statement jhumkas and a pair of colorful mojris to complete the look. With HyperCity fashion, you’ll be spoilt for choices when it comes to these cute “Patialas” ranging in varied colors and designs. Retailing for just 490 bucks , these patialas are sure to bring out the Indian in you.
3. The Boho in Me – This by far is my favorite amongst the three. So comfortable and yet so stylish! Pairing this kurta with a solid colored maxi skirt is perhaps the easiest one and accessorizing the whole look with some junk silver jewelry is sure to take it to a whole new level. Flaunt this fusion ensemble and you’re sure to turn heads this festive season.
Hope you guys liked this post and hope you’ve picked up some ideas to try out with your beloved “kurta” the next time you wear it… 🙂 🙂
Until the next time,
Loads of Love, Urvashi
