So, we’re back again with the third post under #travelinstyle. Like i mentioned earlier, I have recently been to Leh & Ladakh and the weather there is to die for, provided you’re dressed for the freeze.. 🙂 It’s a fact that the weather there changes at the drop of a hat. In fact, the day we planned to visit Khardung Pass (which by the way is the highest motorable road in the world), it started out being a pretty sunny day and being well acquainted with Ladakh weather by then, the snow clad-den mountains midway to our journey didn’t come as a surprise. But no matter what the weather calls for, I refuse to look grumpy and be weighed down by the heavy sweaters!!! So, here’s a look during the trip that saved me from the unpredictable freezing winds gushing against me and kept me all warm and stylish 🙂
Let’s start with the all time favorite Utility Jacket. Call it a military jacket, Safari Jacket, cropped parka or anorak, I think of it as a perfect layering piece. Generally found in olive-green or khakhi green color, I think of it as a nude base which practically goes well with almost any casual outfit. It’s more of a no-brainer with jeans, denim shorts or ponte pants, biker or cowboy boots, and a tee, simple pullover or even a plaid shirt, adding glam in a subtle way. Lucky was I to find such a jacket just before I left for the trip… 🙂 🙂 Wore it over a basic striped tee and a pair of dark denims. The beanie, which continues to remain amongst the head accessory essentials even in Fall – Winter 2015, took this look a notch higher adding perfect amount of cute punch. Kept the accessories limited to only a pair of gladiators and tan boots.
Layered this look with a plaid coat for added warmth and now without any further a do, here are the pictures for you to enjoy and for me to miss Ladakh… 🙂
Hope you guys liked the look and thank you so very much for stopping by.
Until the next time, Loads of Love,
