Well, let me tell you the harsh truth, unlike people residing in South of Bombay, we based in the suburbs do not have the fortune of frequently visiting those small boutique cafes simply ‘coz they don’t exist in our vicinity and we instead choose to settle down for something mediocre rather than taking the pain of driving all the way to enjoy some good food and some cozy ambiance.
The thing is that one either has to settle for fast food chains like McDonalds, Pizza Hut or KFC or some fancy restaurants for supper, but nothing in between. Small cozy places where you can perhaps just seat and relax over a hot cup of coffee, munching on your favorite snack, engrossed in those long lost novels; places where you can sit with your girlfriends gossiping for hours together without having to worry about the huge bill drilling a hole in your pocket, are pretty much rare to find in the suburbs.
So when this new place “The Good Vibes Cafe” opened up just round the corner, I and Krish had to try it out. Just as I had imagined, the plain wooden tables tucked into this small space and walls embodied with English wall clock wall papers kind of seemed like everyone’s friend. And the low lit lighting only added to the cozy ambiance.
And as far as food is considered, well…it scored high there too. We ordered this yummy chicken pasta in pesto sauce while the New York style burger was to die for. In fact, next weekend we two are planning to hit the place for brunch, as the menu looked finger licking too.. to treat our taste buds to some Royal English Breakfast. 🙂 🙂
And last came this yummy tummy Strawberry Milk Shake, served in this quirky jar mug, which by the way was really cute. The only downside, however, is that they don’t serve any dish made of fish.. 😦 And when you are a True Bong like me, that’s something you’d definitely want to see on the menu. And guess what, we ended up paying just around 650 bucks including all the taxes… and that’s cheap, right?
So, with so many positives to that this place has to offer, we definitely loved the vibes that this place gave out and rate it a good 4.5 out of 5 (0.5 deducted for having no fish on the menu… :P)
Located on the Goregaon Mulund Link Road, this place is totally a must visit. Let us know if this review helped you and what you think about our first post on food. Also, do drop by and Say Hi on Instagram and Facebook.. 🙂 🙂
Until the next time, Loads of Love,
